<p>Apparatus for processing a printing plate including at least one cleaning and scrubbing brush rotatably mounted on an axis parallel to the plane of the plate to be processed, adapted to rotate in a direction opposite to the direction of travel of the plate through the apparatus, and adapted to contact the plate as it travels through the apparatus, and a processing fluid distributor mounted adjacent to and ahead of the cleaning and scrubbing brush, with respect to the direction of travel of the plate through the apparatus, and adapted to spray processing fluid onto the bristles of the brush just prior to the time the brush rotates into contact with the plate.</p> |
