A throttle valve has a throttling element consisting of at least two sleeves inserted one into the other, the sleeves having a plurality of radial passages, in several axially spaced planes, for the medium to be throttled. A closure part controls the passages in the manner of a slide, and is adjustable axially for the purpose of controlling the passages. The sleeves are provided with an even number of differently arranged groups of passages, the passages in one group being axially offset, by up to a maximum of one passage diameter, in relation to the passages of another group. The axial offset differs in magnitude in the individual passage planes, the passages in one sleeve being adapted, by relative rotation of the latter, to be connected selectively to the passages on the same level or to the passages axially offset in the respective adjacent sleeve.
|
