The panel consists of a glazing (1) mounted inside a frame (2). In order to avoid, in the event of a fire, the softened glass sheet sliding outside of the frame under its own weight, this frame is provided with immobilisation means exerting their action under the influence of heat such as thin glass strips (13) which soften and secure the sheet to the ledges (3) under the effect of heating, or else materials which undergo a high expansion and thus act essentially by clamping. These panels can be used as fire-protective glazings.
