发明名称 SETT ATT TILLVERKA VESENTLIGEN SNODDFRITT GARN AV EN STAPELFIBERMASSA
摘要 1463653 Adhesive bonded yarn INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR COTTON 25 Jan 1974 [25 Oct 1972] 49200/72 Headings D1F and D1W A continuous process for the manufacture of yarn comprises subjecting an assembly of fibres e.g. sliver, roving or yarn, which is associated with potentially adhesive material and a controlled amount of solvent or swelling agent for the adhesive material sufficient, but substantially not more than is sufficient to enable subsequent development of the adhesive property to a treatment to develop the adhesive properties of the said material. The potentially adhesive material may be starch, modified starch, or modified cellulose, or may be in the form of fibres e.g. polyvinyl alcohol fibres or water-soluble alginate, cellulose diacetate or cellulose triacetate. The solvent or swelling agent may be water, steam, acetone, formic acid or acetic acid. The activation of the potentially adhesive material may be effected by dielectric heating, radiant heat or heated vapour. To facilitate processing the fibre assembly may be false-twisted preferably pneumatically before and/or simultaneously with and/or after the development of the adhesive property. The assembly of fibres preferably is in the form of a blend of a potentially adhesive fibre and a non-adhesive fibre e.g. polyvinyl alcohol and cotton respectively. In a preferred form of the process, the application of the solvent is followed by a dwell time to allow for penetration of the solvent, and the activation of the adhesive material is also followed by a dwell time to allow for partial hardening of the activated adhesive; the assembly then being dried and wound. It is preferred that the adhesive is removable after the yarn is made-up into a fabric.
