<p>Fuel or energy consumption of a vehicle with an electric motor is measured and displayed, both measurements being referred to the distance travelled. The vehicle speed and rate of fuel flow are measured and converted into electric quantities. A voltage representative of the ratio of fuel consumption to vehicle speed is generated from these values. A meter (6) displays, e.g., the number of litres consumed per 100 km. A divider circuit (3) consists of a light sensitive element through which a current flows whose intensity is proportional to the fuel rate of flow. This element is illuminated by a light source supplied with a current generating a light intensity proportional to the vehicle speed.</p> |
