<p>The mezzanine platform consists of a rigid framework with uprights (1) formed of two sections (3, 4) which are butt welded together. On two of the opposite sides of the upright (1) are two rows of holes (5) into which are inserted connecting-pieces (6). These are welded to the ends of the bearing sections (2). Laid crosswise on the bearing sections (2) are metal joists (7) to which is nailed the floor (8). The joists (7) are also interconnected by means of cross-bearers (10). Each connecting-piece (6) has a welded stay-plate (11) positioned at right angles to the bearing section (2). Sections (13) are bolted to the stay-plate (11) to make the framework more rigid.</p> |
