The furniture with aged effect is produced by preparing sheets of metal which are cut into panels and are smoothed or are etched with acid. An adhesive layer is applied to the surface being covered, and the metal is sheet very accurately placed on it. Decoration of reinforcement is nailed or otherwise fixed to the structure incorporating the sheet.
