<p>Oil enters the pump (3) through the inlet (25) and is pumped through the hole (18) in the piston (14) and flows out through the hole (17). When the pump speed increases, the pressure difference across the piston (14) increases and overcomes the force of the spring (22) and moves the piston (14) to the right. This allows the oil to flow back to the inlet through the by-pass passage (20).</p> |
