The frame has a slide reciprocating along a fixed track in it, the slide (3) having a pair of rollers (9, 10) rotating freely on parallel axes, on opposite sides of a hose (11) of flexible material, fixed at the ends to the frame. Inside the hose is a supporting member of rigid material, and a valve unit controls supply of compressed air into opposite ends of the hose alternately. The rollers can be barrel-shaped, while the surfaces of the supporting member (13) can be correspondingly curved, its thickness increasing from the centre towards the outside edges. the two surfaces working with the rollers can be joined to each other by other curved surfaces of appreciably smaller radius.
