The railings round a balcony or for a fence are made up of stringers, support uprights, vertical bars between the stringers, and sleeves in which the stringers are inserted and supported. The inside of the uprights and vertical bars have lengthwise widening grooves in which the tops of T-shaped pieces can glide. The protruding stem of the T fits into holes in the stringers or sleeves. The sleeves are hollow and consists of pieces snapping into one another. The inside of the sleeves carry stop ridges or positioning and locking the stringers in position. The T-shaped pieces consist of threaded metal rods with one end embedded in a plastics head. The uprights are fixed to the floor or other base by staples, using the same groove and T-shaped piecs as the for fixing the sleeves or stringers to the uprights. |
