PROCESS FOR REMOVING HYDROCARBONS Off-gas of internal combustion engines is freed from hydrocarbons. To this end, the hydrocarbons are reacted with oxygen-containing gas at temperatures within the range 200 and 800.degree.C in contact with an inert carriersupported catalyst having catalytically active copper, manganese and nickel oxides on the carrier, whereby the hydrocarbons are transformed to carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
