PURPOSE:To efficiently carry even a soft body to be driven by giving a wave generated in an adjacent drive section phase difference. CONSTITUTION:When AC voltage displaced in 90 deg. phase is applied to laminated piezoelectric elements 7a and 7b, vibrations generated from these elements are transmitted over a driving head 5a through elastic bodies 6a, 6b, and the driving head 5a conducts the elliptic motion of a standing wave. When AC voltage, phase of which is displaced at 180 deg. from the laminated piezoelectric elements 7a, 7b, is applied similarly to laminated piezoelectric elements 7c, 7d respectively, a driving head 5b is driven through elastic bodies 6c, 6d, and the driving head 5b performs the elliptic motion of a standing wave, phase of which is displaced at 180 deg. from the driving head 5a. Accordingly, since one driving head is moved to an upper section when the other driving head is shifted to a lower section, a body to be driven 1 is not brought into contact with the driving head brought to the lower section, thus increasing driving force. |
