<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably shorten time required for opening virtual connection compared to a conventional case by opening only a band and holding a route as a route without band width when virtual channel connection is opened. SOLUTION: When virtual channel connection(VCC) is opened, the LAN emulation entity(LEE) of a terminal 1 executes a band opening (RM) cell processing and a band management processing, sends an RM cell to an ATM node and instructs the opening of only the band. When LEE of a terminal 2 receives the RM cell, the RM cell processing and the band management processing are executed and the band opening recognition RM cell is returned to the ATM node. At that time, only the RM processing is executed at the respective ATM nodes. Although the route is established, the band can obtain VCC of '0', and time required for opening VCC can considerably be shortened compared to a conventional case.</p> |
