PURPOSE:To enable favorable multi-time printing by providing at least two heat-fusible ink layers on a base film, and composing a first heat-fusible ink layer of an ink layer comprising an ethylene copolymer having a specified number average molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:A first heat-fusible ink layer in a thermal transfer film comprising a plurality of heat-fusible ink layers on a base film is composed of an ink layer comprising an ethylene copolymer having a number average molecular weight of (1-6) X 10<3> to (1-3) X 10<4>. The ethylene copolymer is a copolymer of ethylene with other vinyl monomer, e.g., acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, methyl acrylate or styrene. The method of providing the ink layers on the base film by coating may be a solution coating method or a hot-melt coating method. The base film is a heat-resistant film, e.g., a stretched polyester, polyamide or other plastic film or a condenser paper. |
