PURPOSE:To obtain the wound coating material which satisfies all of required performances by constituting the material of two layers; a film made from a specific polyurethane resin and a sheet of a material derived from living bodies. CONSTITUTION:The film formed from the polyurethane resin obtd. by bringing a random copolymer of tetrahydrofuran and ethylene oxide contg. 20 to 80wt.% ethylene oxide unit and 800 to 3000 number average mol.wt. into reaction with diisocyanate and subjecting the copolymer to chain extension by a chain extender is used as the polyurethane film used for the composite sheet composed of the material derived from living bodies. An adhesive property, resilience, durability, ease of handling, preservable property, bacteria barrier property, affinity to cells, hemostatic property, and moisture evaporation controllability are then obtd. The polyurethane film is hard if the number average mol.wt. of the random copolymer is smaller than 800. Tackiness is large and the swelling by water absorption increases if the above-mentioned mol.wt. is larger than 3000. The content of the EO is required to be 20 to 80wt.% in order to lessen the swelling and the degradation in properties at the time of water absorption when the polyurethane is used. |
