The thermistor output is amplified at 2 and passed to a flip-flop 3 which also receives a clock-pulse input from a unit 4. A relay 6 is operated by change-of state of the flip-flop, i.e. whenever the sensed temperature attains a given value, but can only be operated at the instant of a clock pulse. This prevents spurious triggering and, depending on the clock pulse frequency, may also minimize overshoot and/or undershoot.</p> |
