<p>The wire used for a dental brace is made in stranded form. It may consist of eight individual round section strands with two strands one above the other, held between two lines of three, when a section is taken through the set. These two outer sets thus form two straight sides. In a preferred design, the two outer sets are made of square section strands, formed by e.g. rolling. These again form two straight lines, with two round strands between. Thus the outside faces are flatter than those of the first design.</p> |
