The industrial truck comprises a top box portion mounted on uprights fixed to the chassis corners, and castor wheels fixed to the chassis. The chassis comprises round bars or twin tubes one above the other, between which longitudinal and cross-members are inserted. Each of the four corners is reinforced by a gusset plate, on the lower face of which is a mounting for a castor wheel spindle. The outer corner of the plate (6) is cut away to accommodate a section of tube (8) at right angles to its face, in which each of the uprights (9) fits.
