PURPOSE:To contrive the cleaning of the inside of a duct and the removal by suction of dusts, etc., adhered thereto by providing a suction hose connected at one end to the duct opening of either of manholes and at the other end to a vacuum suction device for drawing a duct cleaning body through the duct by suction. CONSTITUTION:A duct cleaning body 36 inserted into a duct 14 connecting manholes 10 and 12 in close contact therewith is connected with a connecting rope 47 and a suction hole 16 is connected at one end to a duct opening of either of the manholes and at the other end to a vacuum suction device 20. The duct cleaning body 36 is engaged with the duct opening of either of the manholes and suction is applied by the vacuum suction device 20 through the duct opening of the other manhole, thereby cleaning the inside of the duct while passing the duct cleaning body 36 therethrough. As a result, the cleaning of the inside of the duct as well as the removal by suction of dusts, scales, etc., adhered to the inside thereof is performed with an improved operational efficiency of the manhole cleaning and in a satisfactorily sanitary working environment. |
