A support enables accessories to be attached to motor vehicle wheel in order to effect measurements of its characteristics using optical equipment. The support has three arms each with a curve enabling clip attachment to wheel rim. A support comprises a steel plate (2) rigidly fixed by welding (4) to three arms (3) radially spaced. Each arm has a U-shaped cursor (5) to which a clip is attached which fits into the wheel rim. A blocking screw (12) enables cursor and clip to be locked on the arm and a pin (15) prevents loss of cursor. Graduations (14) indicate wheel diameters.
