<p>A plastic cassette for small format films, consists of a lower section closed on one side and with a cassette opening. There is a cover and a spool and the lower section tapers away from the cover. The opening of the cassette is cone shaped to produce better light tight seal. The cover is round and has a cam on the inside, which travels along a groove. The elements of the cam are equidistantly spaced on the inner circumference of the cover in the groove. The cam elements have spring loaded extensions which are used for locking. There is a cutout in the cylindrical section to engage the strips when the cover is fitted.</p> |
