In building construction and civil engineering, various cable ducts and plate ducts are suspended by means of metal bands. For vertical adjustment, the bands have shaping means. In the case of the present embossed suspension band, in which the overlapping band ends (1', 1'') are held together by means of a sleeve, only small force components, running perpendicularly to the band surface, arise, even with high tensile forces. This is achieved by embossed portions (2) in the band in the form of elevations (3), which are circular on the upper side and have a cylindrical part with side wall running perpendicularly to the band surface, and depressions (6) which fit the elevations in a positively locking manner. <IMAGE>
