The valve is operated by a slide which moves between an open and a closed position in the valve chamber. A piston, movable in a cylinder, urges the slide towards its closed position. The valve can be opened by applying a control pressure to the cylinder. A vent which reduces the control pressure on the cylinder is located in the pressure-regulating part of the path of the slide.
