COLOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC METHOD

PURPOSE:To stably execute the exact gradation control from a low density part to a high density part in spite of fluctuations in environmental conditions by modulating laser intensity to many values according to the density signals of an original picture and executing exposing. CONSTITUTION:The read image signal is converted to a digital signal which is subjected to a signal processing including the gradation correction of a photosensitive body and the gradation correction of the color density of a toner. The photosensitive body subjected to an electrostatic charging treatment is exposed by the light which is modulated in the light intensity according to the signal by which an electrostatic latent image is formed thereon. The photosensitive body is then developed. The image density in the image formation is outputted with the good gradation characteristic over the wide range from the low density part to the high density part in this way. The pictorial image is thus formed.
