PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital information processing device which can ensure safety (protection) of video/audio information by preventing the outflow of the video/audio information through a data processing path having a data storing means in manner of hardware. SOLUTION: When video/audio/data in accordance with the MPEG standard are inputted as a packet-multiplexed stream, a packet-separating section 20 leads only a packet designated by an external PID (packet identification information) to an MPEG-AV decoding means 8 and stores the packet designated by the PID on a storing medium 7 via an I/F means 6 of a PC, etc. When the section 20 stores the packet designated by the PID on the medium 7, a data from discriminating means 5 discriminates the kind of the packet by referring to a PMT (program map table) which has previously been inserted into the stream, and when the packet is a video/audio packet, the packet is forcibly discarded. Since no video/audio packet is stored on the medium 7, duplication of video/audio signals can be prevented. |
