PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized projecting device which is high in utilization efficiency of light, has a bright screen, and consumes less electric power having a long service life-light source. SOLUTION: A light-emitting element array section 2 is provided with a plurality of LED lamps, respectively composed of red, green, and blue LED chips. Three R, G, and B primary color light rays Lr, Lg, and Lb which are time-sequentially emitted from the red, green, and blue LED chips are shaped into parallel rays by means of a shaping optical system and made incident to a two-dimensional micro deflecting mirror array 50 after the rays have been reflected by a dichroic mirror 4, and the array 50 time-sequentially performs spatial modulation on the rays according to image signals Sr, Sg and Sb of each color. Then a projection optical system 7 projects enlargedly the modulated parallel rays upon a screen 6. |
