TARGET I/O CAPABLE OF RECONFIGURATION OF SOFTWARE FOR CIRCUIT EMULATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate and also facilitate a process where the user designing of an emulator is connected to a target hardware environment by connecting the input, output and output enable bits to a target system to be transmitted in a prescribed order. SOLUTION: Plural PSI(pod system interfaces) 104 connected together are built into a back plane 103 of an emulator 102, and each PSI 104 is connected to a PUI(pod user interface) 108 via cable 106. Each PUI 108 is connected to the interface of a target system 110. Then every PSI 104 transmits an input bit to the emulator 102 and receives both output and output enable bits from the emulator 102 in a prescribed order. Then the input, output and output enable bits are transmitted from and to the system 110 in a prescribed order. Thus, the function of the emulator 102 working based on the hardware that undergone the time division is attained.
