PURPOSE: To produce a parking brake lever economically by setting an inclination angle of a slanting face included in the parking brake lever within a single plane, which is arranged perpendicularly to the lever face and includes an axial line of a cable. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake lever 114 pressed from a flat punched metallic plate material includes a substantially ring type spring supporting part 114a and a slanting part 114b. The supporting part 114a includes arms 114g, 114h, which are bent so as to form a substantially ring type opening receiving the cooperative end part of a spiral guiding spring 120. An inclination angle of a slanting wall 114c is included in a single plane, which is perpendicular to the lever 114 face and includes an axial line of an internal cable member 116. The slanting wall 114c is formed into a bifurcate shape by means of a simple slot opening 140 extending downward from its upper edge. The slanting part 114b includes an extension part 114f, by which it is engaged with a brake shoe 106, so that connection of the member 116 into the lever 114 can be facilitated. |
