KEYBOARD PANEL

The present invention relates to a keyboard panel in the shape of a plate (1), wherein said plate comprises one or more sections used as keys (4) which are capable of flexion under a pressure, while contacts (6) are provided on the back side of said plate. The panel is made of aluminium or alloys thereof and comprises a high-resistance anodised layer (2) on both its front and back surfaces. The layer (2) on the front surface is patterned so as to form images of keys (4) with distinctive symbols (5). A layer (3) of a protection material is applied on the back surface of the plate (1) above the anodised layer (2) and around the places where the contacts (6) are provided. In those sections free from the above-mentioned layer (3), openings are formed in the anodised layer (2) and define sections in the surface of the plate (1) which are used as contacts (6). The panel can be made in the shape of a plate comprising on its front surface and above the anodised layer (2), a layer (3) of a protection material which is applied around the images of the keys (4) or onto said images. A photoresist can be used as the protection material.
