<p>Electrode wire for CO2-welding of low carburised and low alloyed steels contains a low carburised steel sheath and a core consisting of a powder mixt. contg. by wt. 58-83% reduced Ti concentrate in addn. to 1.8-10.4% feldspar, 1.6-10% Na fluorosilicate, 13-20% FeMn and 0.6-1.6% FeSi. The electrical conductivity of the Ti3O5- and Ti4O7-contg. component in the reduced Ti concentrate is 106 time higher than that of rutile. Addn. of the reduced ti concentrate obviates uneven melting of the core mixt. when using a welding current up ot 800 A. Seam material- and welded joint structure and plasticity esp. notch impact tenacity, are improved by using an electrode wire core mixt. contg., by wt., 2.6-5.2% FeTi, 2.2-10.2% feldspar, 1.6-10% Na fluorosilicate, 13-20% FeMn, 0.6-1.6% FeSi and 53-80% reduced Ti concentrate.</p> |
