Carburettor calibration system for IC engine - has main jet regulated by taper needle moved by controlled depression

The main metering jet (18) has its cross-section varied by a taper needle (34) extending downwards from a horizontal bracket (36). The bracket is attached to a plunger (38) which is tensioned upwards by a spring (40) to produce a rich mixture. The plunger is subject to an induction pressure signal to produce a lean mixture. A depression regulator passes the depression value signal to a magnetic valve to vary the depression acting on the plunger (38). The magnetic valve is excited by an electronic circuit responding to an oxygen exhaust gas sensor located on the exhaust system. The horizontal bracket contacts a second taper needle (68) to work with a venting valve.
