The voltage controlled oscillator, for a phase locked loop, is designed so that it can be readily made as an integrated circuit and required no interface circuit for coupling to I2L NOT-logic with which it may be manufactured simultaneously. The oscillator consists of an odd number of NOT-gates comprising complementary pairs of NPN and PNP transistors (Q9, Q11, Q13 and Q8, Q10, Q12). In each pair one NPN transistor is coupled by its base to its PNP transistor's collector and by its emitter to its PNP transistor's base.
