<p>The central processor is used for a number of computerised sales terminals, each having an input keyboard and a visual data display. The processor has an interface unit communicating with the sales terminals, transferring the received signals, corresponding to the depressed data keys, to a live memory, which also stores data for transfer to the respective sales terminals. The live memory communicates with a processor unit, the communication between the live memory and the processor unit being a synchronous relative to its communication with the interface unit.</p> |
