The differential pressure measuring appts. (20) includes a first and a second housing member (21, 22) as well as a measuring diaphragm (8). The periphery of the diaphragm is secured to the housing by welding. A C-shaped clamp (23) made from alloy hardening by precipitation surrounds the housing components. Following assembly of the device, its temperature is raised to around 600 deg.C, whereupon the precipitation hardening takes place by formation of intermetallic compounds. The clamp may be formed from tubular material.
