<p>The skylight has a latch attached to a handle with a pivoted mounting on the wing. Rotation of the handle engages the latch (10) with either a locking slot (15) or a support slot (16) in a housing (14) mounted on the static frame. With the latch (10) in the support slot (16) the skylight wing is supported in the open position. As movement of the latch (10) is restricted by the length of the slot (16) it cannot be disengaged from outside. As the wing is swung open or closed, the latch (10) passes through the connecting cavity (17) between the two slots. The locking slot (15) is of sufficient length to permit complete disengagement of the latch.</p> |
