Wire coil binding mechanism - has rotary indexing spider with ejector transferring between hook type conveyors

The binding mechanism is for wire coils transported continuously by a first hook-type conveyor, having a press binding each coil as it hangs on a hook at two points. An indexing rotary spider (1a) with an ejector receives the coils from the first conveyor and delivers to a second hook-type conveyor (4), indexed in synchronism with the binding press (7, 8). The latter can be moved into a position so as to bind the coils each at four points, having a truck (7) with a mechanism (8) lifting the coils off the hooks (5b) into the press station and then returning them again. The press heads turn through 90 deg. to bring the coil into a second binding position.
