Connection for low level crash barrier sections - has interfitting bayonet joint elements cast into ends of barrier sections

A connexion for sections of a low level concrete crash barrier for use on the sides of roads consists of two elements which lock one inside the other like a bayonet joint and are cast into the concrete at the ends of the individual barrier sections (1). One element (8) is hollow and has one or more openings for insertion of one or more T-section lugs (23, 24) on the other element. The lugs fit into the openings when the connexion is in the locked position. Use of this connexion enables damaged sections of the barrier to be quickly removed and replaced.
