PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical connector plug with a small number of pieces of parts through a simplified assembling process by integrally forming a pressure spring function on an engagement member of the optical connector plug. SOLUTION: A plug housing 203 is manufactured by integrally molding a locking part 203a engaging with the groove parts 107a of a receptacle 100 at its both point ends in such manner that a bottom part (spring part) 203b forms the pressure spring function. When a plug 200 and the receptacle 100 are mutually connected, the locking parts 203a of the plug 200 are engaged with the groove parts 107a of the receptacle 100, and the centers of the plug side ferrule 201 and a receptacle side ferrule 105 are adjusted and aligned by a split sleeve 204. Further the end surfaces of the plug side ferrule 201 and the receptacle side ferrule 105 are closely contacted with one another by pressing action of the bottom part 203b, and the optical output of a LD 101 can be efficiently transmitted. Whereby a conventional pressing spring becomes unnecessary.
