PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved connector device by comprising an engagement means to limit the relative motion of a mother board adapter device and a panel, and engaging and disengaging the engagement means corresponding to the insertion of a daughter board connector device. SOLUTION: A mother board adapter device 16 is inserted into an opening 32 of a mother board 34, and a holding shoulder 50a of a flexible latch arm 50 is engaged with a rear side 34b of the mother board 34. The relative motion in the axial direction or the inserting direction is limited. When the daughter board connector device is engaged with the mother board adapter device 16, the holding shoulder 50a outside of the flexible latch arm 50 is disengaged from the rear side 34b of the mother board 34. Whereby the axial motion to the mother board 34, of the mother board adapter device 16 is not limited any more. The cracking, deformation, dislocation and/or failure in performance of the daughter board and the mother board can be prevented.
