<p>A pipe connection for connecting two pipe ends includes a first collar on a first pipe end and spaced from the end of said first pipe end and a second collar on a second pipe end and in the form of a spherical segment. A sleeve on the second pipe end extends around the end of the first pipe end and has an inwardly directed flange engageable behind the second collar. A first radial sealing means is provided between the first pipe end and the sleeve. A second radial sealing means is provided between the second collar at its largest diameter and the sleeve and a third collar is provided exteriorly on the sleeve. A releasable fastening means is engageable behind the first and third collars to hold the sleeve and thus the second pipe end and the first pipe end together. The pipe connection acquires pivotability of one end of the pipe in the region of the socket part as a result of the proposed construction. Thus, undesirable inexactitudes of the position or bends in the pieces of pipe may be eliminated or a desired change of direction in the path of the pipe may be achieved. A particular advantage may be seen in that the inner wall of the sleeve may remain cylindrical and thus there is no increase in manufacturing costs. A reliable sealing action may be obtained in each case.</p> |
