1453892 Antiskid braking systems WABCO WESTINGHOUSE GmbH 14 Jan 1974 [15 Jan 1973] 01622/74 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system has a sensor 1 responsive to wheel speed supplying signals to a device 2 in which the signals are processed to provide pressure increase or decrease signals depending on whether or not there is evidence of incipient skidding the electronic control arrangement including a clock pulse generator 6, a counter 5 and a decoder 9 responsive to the total in the counter to produce a pulsed signal current to operate brake pressure control devices 13, 14 such as solenoid valves, the decoder being arranged to produce a pulse whilst the total lies in certain arbitrarily chosen ranges of values and to produce an interval between pulses whilst the total lies outside three ranges of values. The decoder 9 has two outputs 11, 12 connected to respective control elements 13, 14 and responds to a particular pressure increase or decrease signal to produce the pulsed signal at one output when the particular signal is present and at the other when it is absent. The clock pulse frequency is constant or different clock frequencies can be provided selectively. |
