PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce speed change shock in upshift so as to avoid the lowering of operating feeling, the worsening of fuel consumption and the increase of noise and vibration by increasing the locking capacity of a lock-up clutch at the operation of an engine output torque increasing means. SOLUTION: When a speed change signal from second gear speed to third gear speed, for instance, is outputted from an ECU 2 to a speed change actuator 25c, the oil pressure of a second gear speed side clutch of gear mechanism 24 starts to drop, and the oil pressure of a third gear speed side clutch starts to rise. The second gear speed side clutch starts to slide, and the third gear side clutch starts its engagement, so that a state of sliding in the connected state of both second and third gear speed side clutches is started. In order to suppress the blow-up of engine speed at the time of upshift, the locking capacity of a lock-up clutch 23 is increased from the blow-up start time of the engine speed.
|
