<p>Braking torque of brakes acting on the wire dispensing bobbins is controlled by continuously measuring the twisting speed and comparing the value with a preset or continuously measured value of a dispensing bobbin, and opt. coupled to a hyperbolic function corresp. to the decreasing dispensing bobbin dia., and then converting the obtd. values to setting signals for application to setting members acting on the brakes. Pref. the wire tension control is effected with the aid of an electric signal control device which includes >=1 tachometer coupled to one of the bobbins and a computer which is also supplied with an input signl from a device which measures the linear speed of the cable.</p> |
