<p>Filler compsn. for gate valves for casting ladles, esp. for steel and iron, contains particulate fillers and consists of a mixt. of 20-90 pref. 50-80 (wt.) % particular filler and 80-10, pref. 50-20% (thermoplastic) elastomer. A polyurethane, silicone rubber, PVC, synthetic or natural rubber is used as elastomer. The filler is in the form of a cylinder, opt. with circular discs on the outside the cavity contg. the loose particulate filler. The compsn. can be inserted into the nozzle block from below with the gate valve open and, unlike fillers with pasteboard sleeves, is elastic and does not burn away too quickly, allowing the particulate filler to run out prematurely.</p> |
