The car seat belt lock is formed from a flat tongue with a belt eyelet and a protectively enclosed lock housing secured to the fastener bar. An inserted tongue ejector and tongue hook is coupled to the release bow to free the lock as required. The housing (1) is box shaped and enclosed by the bow (3). The bar (2), bow and tongue (13) areas inside the housing are all bored (4, 5, 17) to take the locking pin (6) when the tongue is slide into the housing. The ejector (12) can be located in two positions in the housing to close the bore (4) in the bar (2) in one position, and in the second position is pressed to one side by the tongue as this enters the housing.
