The terminal block has contact seatings which increase the contact pressure, using screwed or welded joints. The contacts are in a straight line in a connecting socket made from an insulating material. There is also a plate made from an insulating material with printed wiring.The block contains several contact elements, shaped like movable angular brackets (1). The two ends (2a, 3a) are flat and form contact surfaces, which transmit a high pressure on to the counter contact. The increased pressure is achieved by the lever action of the contact bracket, which operates at a favourable mechanical advantage when the terminals are engaged.
