A known clamping tool consisting of two rails connected to one another hinge-like to form a single-arm lever is to be simplified and its cost reduced. A bar-shaped element (5) is therefore provided on one side with an adjusting screw (4). In contrast to the known tool, the adjusting screw encloses a fixed angle ( alpha ) with the bar-shaped element.
