PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a water soluble calcium salt composition readily soluble in water and readily absorbable into a living body by mixing a calcium phosphate ingredient with an aqueous solution containing a carboxylic acid compound ingredient and dissolving the calcium phosphate ingredient in the above-mentioned solution. CONSTITUTION:A calcium phosphate compound ingredient consisting of at least one kind selected from a hydroxyapatite obtained from tricalcium alpha-phos phate, tetracalcium phosphate and bone of an animal is mixed and dissolved in an aqueous solution of carboxylic acid compound ingredient consisting of at least one kind selected from citric acid, malic acid, gluconic acid, lactic acid and acetic acid and sodium salt or potassium salt of these specific carboxylic acids so that total content of carboxyl group is >=3mol based on 1mol calcium content to give a mixed and dissolved liquid. Water content of the resultant liquid is evaporated and removed to afford a condensed liquid. Thereby calcium can be readily absorbed into a living body by adding the condensed liquid to a food or taking the condensed liquid in. |
