PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dust core powder, which is capable of improving a molded dust core in magnetic characteristics, such as permeability, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical strength such as crushing strength, and to provide a dust core formed of the same. SOLUTION: Dust core powder is composed of ferromagnetic powder, an insulating material containing silicone resin or phenolic resin, and a lubricant, where the lubricant contains aluminum stearate, and the dust core is formed of the dust core powder.
