PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetic contactor wherein an inappropriate action is not generated in an auxiliary contact, even if a main contact point is welded by a break, etc., of abnormal current. SOLUTION: In the electric magnetic contactor wherein a main movable contact point and an auxiliary movable contact point installed at the movable part biased by a spring force, a main fixed contact point and an auxiliary fixed contact point fixed in the fixed part, a contact spring pressing the main movable contact point and the main fixed contact point, and a base to house the movable parts, and wherein a normally open contact point, which opens at the time of break of the electric power by the main contact point, and a normally close contact point, which closes at the time of break of the electric power by the auxiliary contact point, are constituted, and the normally open contact point and the normally close contact point make open/ close actions against each other by the operation of the movable part, the distance between the auxiliary movable contact point and the auxiliary fixed contact point in the normally closed contact point is put as much as the auxiliary fixed contact point is not closed with the auxiliary movable contact point even if the normally open contact point is closed and the movable part is tilted making the closed position as a fulcrum, and the auxiliary movalbe contact point is shifted by the tilting.
